In this workshop, we’ll take a look at the newly redesigned Map Viewer, ArcGIS Online’s powerful web-based map building tool. You’ll get a hands-on introduction to the new interface as well as some of the visualization and analysis features now available with this new version. We’ll also discuss how Map Viewer maps can be published and shared, including through the related platform StoryMaps. Sample map data will be supplied, but feel free to bring your own map data if you have it to test out in Map Viewer. Led by Digital Scholarship Librarian Daniel Story.

The land on which we gather is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.
