Are you interested in using the Glowforge Lasercutters in the DSI? If so, you'll need to attend our in-person training session. Join us for this hour and a half to learn about our safety procedures and operating protocols.

This session is geared towards learning how the lasers work, understanding file types, and going over our operating and safety procedures. After this session, you will be eligible to complete the assessment and you can also sign up for (optional) extra practice time to become comfortable with the equipment until you are ready for the skills assessment.

Land Acknowledgement

The land on which we gather is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.

The land acknowledgement used at UC Santa Cruz was developed in partnership with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Chairman and the Amah Mutsun Relearning Program at the UCSC Arboretum.
