Join us for this digital media showcase and Adobe Photoshop demo with artist Saul Villegas. This event highlights Villegas's work as Artist in Residence at the Center for Coastal Climate Resilience (CCCR) and the Institute of Marine Sciences (IMS). The showcase presents photography, video, and experimental digital media that document research environments, fieldwork, and laboratory processes as immersive visual dioramas.

The program includes a live Adobe Photoshop demo focused on digital workflow, image refinement, and practical strategies for capturing subjects in the field and lab—including observation, lighting, composition, and documentation techniques.

The session concludes with an open Q&A and informal discussion.

The event is sponsored by the University Library Center for Digital Scholarship, the CCCR, and the IMS.

Saul's digital exhibit will be on display on the VizWall in the Digital Scholarship Commons for duration of Winter Quarter 2026.
