Join us at the DSI Open Studio on May 14 from 2 - 4 PM to explore the creative work students are building using fabrication technologies supported at the DSI (Digital Scholarship Innovation studio), University Library Center for Digital Scholarship. Students will showcase projects created with tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and Cricut machines. Multiple students projects will be setup around the DSI space and the ability for attendees to walk around and view each one. We’ll also have several hands-on make-and-take activities for visitors to try.

Land Acknowledgement

The land on which we gather is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.

The land acknowledgement used at UC Santa Cruz was developed in partnership with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Chairman and the Amah Mutsun Relearning Program at the UCSC Arboretum.
