Are you an undergraduate student looking to earn a $35 gift card?
The UCSC University Library is recruiting 100 undergraduate students for a paid research study on how students search for and evaluate scholarly literature. Sign up!
No prior experience is required. You will be asked to use a search tool to find sources on a research topic and complete a questionnaire. The session will take up to 90 minutes.
This study is part of a grant-funded library research project examining how students navigate different search technologies, including AI tools, to support evidence-based improvements to library instruction at UCSC.
Who can participate: Currently enrolled UCSC undergraduate students
Time commitment: 90 minutes
Compensation: $35 gift card Where: Ming Ong computer lab

- Tuesdays (April 28, May 12) — 11:45 am – 1:15 pm
- Wednesday (May 6, May 13) — 4:00 – 5:30 pm
- Fridays (April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15) — 2:30 – 4:00 pm
