We are holding this forum to inform the campus community about the state of the University Library budget and how it is impacted by rising costs in academic publishing and emerging campus requests for programs and services.

Agenda:

Budget Overview - John Bono, Associate University Librarian for Planning and Resource Management
Collection Budget Impacts -  An overview of the impending UC Libraries serials cost sharing revision, its specific impact on our collections budget, and an outline of how we will work with the Academic Senate and library stakeholders to identify potential journal/database cancelation candidates to manage the cost sharing change’s impacts from now through Summer 2019 - Kerry Scott, Associate University Librarian for Collections and Services
Planning for the Future - How we are moving forward in strategic ways - Elizabeth Cowell, Richard L. Press University Librarian

This forum follows up on the talks given at the 2017 symposium, Charting the Library's Future.
