Have you assigned research tasks that did not go as intended? Have you wondered why sources cited in students' research papers are off target? Have you shared your go-to databases with students only to see the same problems? This workshop is open to graduate students interested in understanding the problem and thinking about solutions from an information literacy and library-teaching support perspective.

We'll discuss research findings about how students conduct research, go over relevant case studies, and conclude with a framework for transforming research tasks into metacognative/self-directed learning opportunities. The Library Liaison to Arts and Humanities Annette Marines will lead this workshop.
