Are you interested in 3D modeling and sculpting? Would you like to try 3D sculpting in VR? If so, join Digital Scholarship Librarian Josh Tuthill for a hands-on workshop in Digital 3D sculpting. Participants will have the opportunity to try out different modes and software packages for digital sculpting methodologies, work with some of the DSC graphics and display tablets, try out VR modeling and discuss different workflows for a variety of projects. Feel free to bring your questions or just come to listen. All levels of skill and experience are welcome.

Land Acknowledgement

The land on which we gather is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.

The land acknowledgement used at UC Santa Cruz was developed in partnership with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Chairman and the Amah Mutsun Relearning Program at the UCSC Arboretum.
