Join Digital Scholarship Librarian Daniel Story to get hands-on experience with building an interactive digital map. We’ll use the web based tool ArcGIS Online and explore its features for both displaying spatial data and analyzing geographic patterns. We’ll also go over the basics steps required to make a dataset ready to map, the kinds of information you can communicate through mapped data, and some tips and tricks for making your maps as readable and accessible as possible.

The workshop will be held in the Digital Scholarship Commons Lab, on the Ground Floor of McHenry Library. Registration is required.
