Welcome! The Digital Scholarship Innovation Studio offers a variety of technology for use by UCSC students and faculty.

DSI equipment requires training prior to use.  More information on our training opportunities (both in person and online) can be found on our Getting Started page.

The DSI equipment is available to book with at least 1 days notice and up to 1 week in advance.  Equipment that is not booked may be availble for walk in use on a first come, first served basis.  

For 3D printers, please book the equipment for your print time plus 1 hour to account for setup and cleanup needs.  DSI hours are 10AM-5PM Monday-Friday for Fall 2024, making the longest print we can support 7 hours.

Can't get your time to end when you want it?  

• Click the hour you want to start.
• Go to the bottom of the page.
• Use the drop down box after "until..." to change the time to your desired end time.

IMPORTANT:  When you request a booking, you will get an email with your time requesting confirmation.  You must confirm that original email before it moves forward in the system.  If you don't confirm, the system will automatically cancel your booking request.
